Country Gospel singers Cal and Jay Witham, from the Cambridge, NY, area, will be in concert Sunday, February 19, 3:00 pm, at Granville Baptist Church, 23 Quaker St., Granville, NY.

            The Withams are a unique father and son gospel team who received The People’s Choice award from the Country Gospel Music Association, Branson, MO.  They accompany their traditional and country style music with acoustic guitars.

            Cheryl Darlene, Cal’s daughter is also on the program, contributing to their distinct family harmony.  She adds inspiring vocal arrangements to the group. 

            Jay’s wife Linda travels with the family and directs the sound.

            The public is cordially invited to attend this free concert.  There will be a free-will offering.  The Church is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of off-street parking is available behind the Church.  For more information, call Pastor Jim Peterson at 518-642-2245.

            Cal and Jay Witham are accomplished musicians and singers, well-known pastors, evangelists, recording artists, and radio and TV personalities.

            During the concert the Withams will inspire the audience with their personal testimonies, and their unique blend of country humor will be interspersed throughout the performance.

            Cal Witham has pastored several churches in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and upstate New York over the past 40 years and has developed a reputation as a “pastor’s pastor.”  He recently retired as pastor of the Open Bible Baptist Church in Cambridge, NY, where he served since 1987.

            Jay Witham has 30 years of pastoral ministry and has also ministered throughout New England and the Northeast.  Presently he is pastor of the Whiteside Church in Cambridge, NY, where he has been since January of 2000.  Jay can be heard weekly on WNGN, 91.9 FM and the Northeast Gospel Network of Christian radio stations.
