Introduction to the Old Testament

Have you ever tried to read through the Old Testament, only to get bogged down in the middle of Leviticus? Ever wondered what to make of those obscure prophets? What do you say to your teen-ager about the Song of Solomon? This 10-week course may give you some help with these and other Old Testament troubles-oh, and did we mention, it was the Bible Jesus read?

Introduction to the New Testament

You know that the Epistles are NOT the wives of the Apostles, but you still can't make heads or tails of what Paul is writing about. You know that there are 4 gospels, but why? And does Revelation really say what the Left Behind books lead you to believe? This 10-week course will help you sort out what's what in the New Testament.

Both courses will be offered at First Baptist Church in Glens Falls (100 Maple Street) on Saturday mornings beginning January 13 (week off on February 17, last class March 24).

• Old Testament 1-3 pm
• New Testament 10-12 am

The Rev. Bill Kerr Dies

The Rev. Bill Kerr died December 8th at 2:23pm, ending his long struggle with leukemia. While we grieve his loss, we celebrate his life and his long and faithful ministry amongst us.

Calling were at the former Raymond Memorial Baptist Church at the beautiful grey stone church where Bill was pastor for 22 years.

A Service of Celebration was held on Tuesday, December 12, at 2:00pm, at Perinton Community Church, 636 High St. Ext., Fairport NY.
